LOCAL electrical and hardware supplier, Nations Hardware and Electrical, has partnered a Chinese security devices manufacturer, Hikvision, to supply high quality security devices including sophisticated surveillance cameras into the Zimbabwean market.

The products were launched at a colourful ceremony in Harare last Friday.
Among the products launched include Smart IP cameras, HD analogue cameras, speed domes, NVRs, DVRs, video management software, access control and alarm systems and encoders, decoders, and other elements of sophisticated security systems.
Nations Hardware manager, Douglas Smith, said some of the devices would serve a diverse set of vertical markets that include retail, banking and finance, transportation, education, commercial, government and residential.
“Hikvision products have become a household name and are now being specified by many governments, local authorities and industries as the product of choice to protect their utilities, correctional facilities and defence infrastructures.
“This has been achieved by Nations Hardware and Electrical’s continuous innovation, fast response to the changing dynamics experienced in the security field, the reliability of their products and the continuous support and close working relationship with their clients.”
An official, who spoke on behalf of Home Affairs minister Ignatious Chombo, said the new surveillance products would help fight crime and create jobs for youths.
