The new product was launched in Harare on Tuesday.
Coca-Cola Zimbabwe senior franchise brand manager Takunda Junda said the new product was tried and tested and had done well in other markets.
“The introduction of Schweppes Novida into the Zimbabwean market is part of global strategic move to meet the ever-changing consumer demands and taste,” Junda said.
Junda said the company had made significant investment plans to ensure that “we tap into the potential segment fully and the Coca-Cola Company has set itself up to change the situation by introducing its first fruit flavoured malt-non-alcoholic beverage into the Zimbabwean market”.
Junda said the unveiling of the new product, Schweppes Novida, marked an important milestone in the history of the Coca-Cola system in Zimbabwe.
“Our brand new addition to our family, Schweppes Novida, is an international Coca-Cola brand. It is the new non-alcoholic, malt-based, fruit-flavoured soft drink being bottled by Delta Beverages,” he said.
