The circus at Castle Premiership club Quelaton continues.
Yesterday, the club retraced their steps to former assistant coach Farai Sibanda whom they appointed to the hot seat.
Sibanda replaces Chipo Tsodzo, who was in charge for 90 minutes in the 2-0 loss to Dynamos on Sunday. Tsodzo is now the assistant coach together with former Sundowns, Highlanders and Dynamos defender Danisa Phiri.
The new boss was previously assistant to Thulani Sibanda when they were promoted to the top flight and was promoted after Thulani threw in the towel. In came Philani “Beefy” Ncube who also quit ahead of the Dynamos match.
Quelaton director Tawanda Ruzive yesterday confirmed the developments to NewsDay Sport. “We have appointed Farai Sibanda as head coach. He will be assisted by Chipo Tsodzo as player/coach. We have also roped in Danisa Phiri as second assistant,” Ruzive said.
“We have opted for Farai because he is the one who gave us seven points. He had not walked away from the club, but was attending to personal business. Tsodzo will continue playing while assisting Farai and Phiri because Farai cannot be in charge alone. We do not want to continue changing coaches.”
Last week the team played under the guidance of Tsodzo and team manager Mike Dube when they lost their 15th match of the season.
Quelaton won two consecutive matches, beating Harare City 1-0 and Gunners by the same scoreline. They drew 1-1 with Blue Rangers with Farai. They collected another point after holding Highlanders to a 1-1 draw at Barbourfields Stadium.

However, they were docked three points for using an ineligible player Zibusiso Sibanda in their match against Motor Action.
Despite languishing at the bottom of the log with five points, Ruzive still believes that his charges will survive the chop.
On Saturday, Quelaton face Buffaloes at Luveve with the hope of at least collecting some valuable points in the final half of the season.
“Buffaloes have done very well and the sponsorship by Mbada gave them stability. But the focus for us is on winning. We are in the mud, but we hope to come out of it,” the director said.
