THE Ultimate Wedding Expo held at the Highlands Sports Club over the weekend saw a runway show as models donned stunning evening dresses and wedding gowns as part of the exhibition.

The two-day event, which was held on Friday and Saturday after a four-year hiatus  targeted wedding providers to showcase their products and services from fashion, venues, travel and tours, among others.

Barbreanne Linnel Gascoigne, founder of Barbreanne Events and Coordination and the brains behind the event, told NewsDay Life & Style  that the expo was a success as wedding providers came to showcase their products and also provided a networking platform.

“It has been a wonderful event, we have had a pastor speaking about wedding laws in the country, a fashion show by clothing brands Spartan Wear and Harmony Bridal where models showcased evening and wedding dresses on the runway," said Gascoigne.

She has been participating in the event and co-ordinating business for almost two decades co-hosting with musician Tariro Chaniwa, known as Tariro neGitare in showbiz.

Co-founder of Spartan Wear Desire Haukozi said the event provided a platform for feedback, where potential clients reached out to them giving room for self-assessment and improvement.

Songstress Tariro neGitare gave a heartwarming performance of love songs which created a cheerful atmosphere for attendees. She expressed gratitude to Gascoigne for providing a platform for her  to perform at her events when she was not popular.
